Enjoyed being a student at Las Vegas Medical Assistant School! Yes, there were Administrative changes during the months I attended but it was for a Positive Impact. The school helped me find my Externship and I passed the NHA -CCMA Certification on my first attempt! I worked a Full Time Job during School so having accessibility to attend Clinical Labs on Saturdays was Great, the Online coursework was very straight forward, easy to understand and 4 months to complete the Career was the best part. The School would provide me daily links to several Medical Assistant job offers after Graduation and now Thanks to their Academic Advisors, I'm Hired and excited to begin my Journey in the Medical Field! I definitely recommend this School for anyone wanting a new Medical Assistant career without having to leave their current employment. Thank you Las Vegas Medical Assistant School!! 💯 Read less

Graduated from LVMAS about 9 months ago. Going to this school was the best decision I made. I wanted a career switch but didn’t know if the medical field was for me, so I went to this school to become an MA. 9 months after graduation, I’m currently working at a hospital doing more than I ever thought I could have imagined. This school made me realize that dreams are still within reach, the instructors were so informative in passing the NHA. I wouldn’t have been able to get where I am now without the help of the school. So, thank you. Read less

Frequently Asked Questions

We don't accept financial aid, but we have some pretty great reasons why! The founder of our school, Dr. Ince, wanted to create an opportunity for those who desire to enter the field. He believed that students deserve not only a great education but also an affordable and convenient option. Rather than making our school more expensive in order to allow for financial assistance, Dr. Ince chose to keep tuition affordable, giving our students the opportunity to graduate with little to no student loan debt. If none of our payment plan options work for you, please give us a call. We are more than happy to customize a plan!

Yes, you can pay by check. Checks must be sent two weeks before your start date, and you must call our admissions team to provide a tracking number. They should be addressed to Zollege Management Inc., 7701 N. Lamar Blvd, Suite 300, Austin, TX 78752.

The time it takes to become a Medical Assistant varies between schools and certification programs. Our curriculum is 18-weeks long and fully prepares students to start working as a medical assistant.

Las Vegas Medical Assistant School is a hands-on learning program. We take a different approach from traditional education. Our classes take place in a medical office rather than a classroom, with a hands-on component to every part of our course. Classes begin with a lecture and discussion, but most of the class time is spent in labs learning the essential techniques of medical assisting. When our students graduate and begin their career, they feel at home in a medical office.

As a newly hired Medical Assistant, your employer will expect you to know the basic skills of medical assisting. Those fundamental skills are exactly what we focus on teaching our students. Our custom-designed curriculum sets students up for success by covering precisely what doctors will expect them to know.

When you graduate from any medical assisting school you receive a certificate of completion. Many students ask if they can expect to make a higher starting salary if they attend a longer program. The starting salary for a Medical Assistant does not depend on how long you spent in school or how much you paid for your schooling.

Medical Assistants perform a variety of duties, including but not limited to assisting the doctor, carrying out clinical tasks, and completing administrative work.

Medical assistants may perform many different clinical duties including taking and recording vital signs, preparing patients for examination, and drawing blood. Administrative tasks are equally important in the medical assisting field; medical assistants are also in charge of scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, working with insurance files, and billing.

Assistants are responsible for making patients feel at ease while also preparing them for treatment. During medical visits, assistants often work alongside the doctor.

According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), employment of medical assistants is projected to grow 12 percent from 2024 to 2034, much faster than the average for all occupations. For more information, please visit the Bureau of Labor Statistics website.

According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the median annual wage for medical assistants was $44,200 as of May 2024. For more information, please visit the Bureau of Labor Statistics website.

Benefits vary by practice and should be discussed with the hiring practice.
